1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Eldersfreedom.com (the “Website”), owned and operated by Elders Freedom, LLC (“Elders Freedom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this Website and any philanthropic giving or donation you make. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.
2. Nature of Contributions (Non-Tax-Deductible)
- No Tax Deduction: Elders Freedom is not currently recognized as a tax-exempt charitable organization under the relevant tax codes (e.g., U.S. IRC Section 501(c)(3) or similar international provisions).
- Non-Deductible Status: Accordingly, any contribution made to Elders Freedom is not a tax-deductible charitable donation for federal, state, or local tax purposes.
- Donor Responsibility: Donors should consult their independent tax advisor regarding the tax treatment of any contribution based on their individual circumstances. We will provide a donation receipt for record-keeping purposes only; this receipt does not constitute evidence of tax-deductible status.
- Purpose: Your philanthropic giving supports the mission of Elders Freedom, including providing hope and kindness to our devoted and wounded caregiver, and inspiring people to stand up for the rights and lives of vulnerable older adults.
3. Donation and Payment Processing
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover) and Stripe.
- Security: We use industry-standard SSL technology, Cloudflare for protection, and partner with Stripe for secure payment processing. Your sensitive financial information never touches our servers; all data is sent directly to Stripe’s PCI-compliant servers through SSL.
- Credit Card Statement: Your order will appear as “Elders Freedom Gift” on your credit card statement.
- Transaction Fees: You will be given the option to cover the cost of the transaction fee on your donation to ensure your full intended gift goes to Elders Freedom.
4. Recurring Donations (Monthly Support)
- Control: You remain in full control of your recurring donation. You are free to change or cancel it at any time.
- Cancellation: Instructions for managing or canceling a recurring donation will be provided in your initial confirmation email or can be obtained by contacting us directly.
5. Thank You Gifts and Fulfillment
- Gift Offer: Donors at specified giving levels (e.g., $25, $30, $40, $50, $60, $75, $100) are offered an exclusive “Thank You” gift (such as a Keyring Tag, Mug, Case, Tote Bag, Hat, T-Shirt, or Blanket) plus the “sweet i am Muse-ic” download.
- Gift Waiver: You may decline the gift to ensure your entire contribution goes to the organization (select the “Please Do Not Send Me A Gift / Make my gift go further!” option).
- Minimum Contribution: To receive a gift, you must agree to have your account charged a minimum of the specified amount (e.g., $25 one-time for the Keyring Tag).
- Shipping: Gifts will be shipped to your billing address. Expected delivery is 6–8 weeks.
- i am Muse-ic®: The “sweet i am Muse-ic” is an exclusive digital gift. Access will be provided upon processing your gift. The “i am Muse-ic®” trademark and the “EF” logo are registered trademarks of iammuseic.com, LLC.
6. Intellectual Property
- The Website content, including the text, graphics, logos, images, and the i am Muse-ic® name and associated content, are the property of Elders Freedom, LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
Elders Freedom, LLC will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site or from any information, content, materials, products (including the gifts), or services included on or otherwise made available to you through this site.
