Standing Up for the Rights and Dignity of Our Seniors
Elder abuse is one of the most overlooked human rights issues of our time — silent, persistent, and deeply damaging. It can happen anywhere: in homes, care facilities, hospitals, or even online. And often, it goes unreported. Why? Because many older adults feel too ashamed, afraid, or powerless to speak up.
At Elders Freedom, we’re not just raising awareness — we’re fighting back.
What Is Elder Abuse?
Elder abuse comes in many forms:
Emotional abuse — name-calling, intimidation, or isolation.
Financial exploitation — scams, coercion, or wrongful evictions.
Physical harm or neglect — when basic needs are ignored.
Sadly, our own beloved caregiver — who dedicated her life to helping the elderly — became a victim herself when she was wrongfully evicted from her home of 27 years. Her story is heartbreaking, but it’s also a wake-up call.
Why This Matters to All of Us
This isn’t just her story. It’s the story of thousands of aging Americans who are at risk of losing their homes, dignity, or even their lives due to systemic neglect and abuse.
These are the people who raised us, taught us, and served our communities. We owe it to them to protect their rights, now more than ever.
“If this happened to me, it can happen to anyone.”
